A slice of Hollywood
is once again coming to Elk Grove High School
The CinéStudent Film Festival is currently accepting
submissions for this year’s student festival. The festival is open to any high
school student in and around the Chicago area. The films can be of any genre as
long as they are under 10 minutes in length.
This year the festival will be offering cash and prize
awards in several categories including a grand prize for the best picture.
“We are lucky to have as an official sponsor of the festival
Tribeca Flashpoint College,” says Bruce Janu, the Elk Grove Film Club sponsor
and director of the CinéStudent Film Festival. Tribeca Flashpoint College,
located in the heart of downtown Chicago, has donated a spot in a filmmaking
summer camp experience designed for high school students. The value of this
package is over $900.
“The winner of this year’s CSFF has a great opportunity to
learn filmmaking with other high school students on the latest and most
advanced filmmaking equipment,” Janu said. “So get your films in now.”
Completed films are due by May 1, 2016. Official rules and submission
instructions can be found at http://www.cinestudentfilmfest.org.
The films will be shown at this year’s festival on the
evening of May 21, 2016 at Elk grove High School. The festival will also be
shown at Elk Grove TV Channel 6.
